We know we can deal with them. They are both easy sports to simulate and to RP. Not to mention that they are iconic Olympic Sports. Who hasn't heard of the DREAM TEAM?

Actualy, I am sorry, I lied, as much as it would be epic to have you host it, it wouldn’t be the IDU Olympics anymore. You can feel free to participate in it as far as I am concerned, but you can’t host as you are a diplomat.


The general consensus seems to be that we have Soccer and Basketball on the rosters. That is two events. My computer can not run XCorinate. If anyone else wants to check to see which events are easily sim-able, that would be great!

Good News: I did some fiddling around with Xkorinate on my MAC and kinda got it to work. I am still having trouble actualy simulating events but I at least have it further than was anticipated. This is an appeal to ALL IDU Olympic Committee members interested in hosting: I do believe that, if we can get it working, Xkorinate, will be the best solution as it lets you sim nearly every imaginable sport (including realy mundane sports). It also allows for more modification and RP percs than the conventional league simulator. Please attempt to get the program running on your computer ASAP.

Xkorinate is available for Macs, windows, and Linux and can be downloaded for free here: http://www.thirdgeek.com/ns/xkoranate/

If anyone can get Xkorinate working, it will most likely mean that we can JUMP STRAIGHT TO THE HOST CITY Bid, as we will not need any other scorinators. The Events can be decided by the Host as it will ultimately be him/her who commits a huge amount of time. Speaking of which, I would have to warn that the following requirements will most likely apply to any host city bidder:

1. Be able to use all Scorinators proficiently
2. Be extraordinarily active at ALL times during the duration of the Olympiad
3. You realy should have some RPing experience, preferably sports oriented (I.e. The IDUFC, NS World Cup, NS BoF, etc.)
4. Be willing to do some minimal reasearch into each event that runs, even if it is just Wikipedia-ing the sport. It will make posting results and general host RPing much easier.
5. Don’t even consider CTE’ing for a second!

I officially have Xkorinate artificial score simulator up and running on my Mac. If I can run it on an Apple, pretty much anyone can run it. It can do everything, any sport! It is so good that I am officially starting a vote.

All in favor of using Xkorinate as our exclusive method of scorination say "Aye." All against say "Nay" and preferably state your reasoning why. If this motion passes, it will override the former simulator for basketball and football, leaguesimulator.com, as it is far more precise and allows for RP bonuses.

In the event that we adopt Xkorinate as scorination method for this olympics, we can begin host city biding!
